DISCOVERY PROJECT

Overarching (big picture) question that you are investigating:
I want to find out…………... How to make pizza from scratch


My Project is SMART because………. I want to make Hawaiian pizza without pineapple
S - Specific my aim is specific because …. I want to know exactly what i need to make this
and how to make it

M - Measurable I can record this against... A video which will show the end result

A - Achievable this is achievable because I know that all I need to do is... Make the dough
and cheese
and add toppings and sauce and see the end results

R - Realistic This is realistic because all the equipment is easy to get

T - Time based  I can complete my practical in 2 days and then spend 1 day
making a presentation....Yes
What predictions do you have re this project?
We will have made pizza



List your equipment that you will need. (must order it to have it)
Teaspoon, whisk, bowl x2, plastic bowl, frying pan, cutting board, wooden spoon, jug,
 stirring machine

Dough: 2 teaspoons of yeast, 1/2 teaspoon of caster sugar,3/4 cup of warm water,2 cups
of plain flour, 2 tablespoons of olive oil,1 teaspoon of salt
Pizza sauce: 400g of tomatoes (optional: tinned), 1/3 cup of tomato paste, 1 small brown
 onion, 1 teaspoon of caster sugar,1-2 cloves of garlic

Toppings: Cheese, Capsicum, Beef, Onion

Sauces on top: Mayonnaise and BBQ




Outline a step by step method of your investigation:

Sauce: Oil on frying pan while element on, Diced onions in frying pan, Garlic in frying pan, Put both tomatoes and tomato paste in frying pan, Caster sugar in frying pan, Mix well until ready.

Dough: Yeast in bowl 1, Pour water with yeast, Whisk it, Get bowl 2 and pour flour in, Oil with flour,
Mix yeast and water with flour, stir, Flour on table, Knead dough, Plastic wrap over dough,
 Leave dough to grow,

Cooking: Spread out dough add sauce and toppings, Pizza in oven for 15-20 minutes on 220
degrees celsius.
