Why, in Ellie’s opinion, is Cobblers Bay and Wirrawee so important to the invaders?
keep it quiet so they can get free access to the rest of the country

Corrie and Ellie reminisce about how innocent they were in high school and even a few days ago. Why were they still innocent then? Why are they no longer innocent?
they used to believe in fantasies and used to be safe but now they know their not

Why does Homer think splitting up is a good idea?
not having the manpower to search the whole district

Why do you think the author added the few lines about an Australian jet flying overhead.
because they might have been astonished when the jet was flying straight towards them

By blowing up Corrie’s house, what does the invading force demonstrate to the teenagers?
That they're dangerous  and they are upset they blew up the house so the teenagers were frightened

Why do you think Corrie reacted the way she did?
she was frightened
