S- The film aspect "long shot" was used effectively in the sense of Geel Pret and the guard in the prison.
E-The Scene shows a close up of the back of the legs and baton of the guard in the foreground,With a distressed Geel Piet emerging from the washroom in the background.
X-Therefore the guard appears more powerful than Geel Piet.
(Purpose)
X- This makes the audience feel worried for Geel Piet as Borrman the guard has beaten Geel Piet in the past. Combined with the batan hitting the side of his leg we feel even more concerned
Effect.
Y-This long shot also foreshadows the murder of Geel Piet by the sergeant later in the film.
